Annual Winter RFE is back! Say "你好(Ni-Hao)" to Taiwan! This time, we will come to the busiest airport in Taiwan, Taoyuan International Airport (RCTP/TPE). Sitting in the middle of East Asia region. The airport plays a crucial role by connecting with Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines, and Mainland China. Let's book a flight to draw a perfect end to 2023.
RCTP/TPE (TAIWAN TAOYUAN INTL)

Elevation 108 FT AMSL.
Transition Altitude 11000 FT.
Transition Level FL130.
West traffic pattern is used.
Aircraft are prohibited strictly to cross Taiwan Strait straightly.
Pilot shall actively advise Delivery if unable to perform RNAV SID.
Local pattern training will be permitted depending on traffic.
Make sure you have navigation data newer than AIRAC 1911.
GROUND OPERATION |

Some older scenery may not include taxiway P3, P4, Q1, Q2, S10, S10, W1, W2. But include taxiway W (besides Terminal 2, connecting P6 and Q4). Pilots shall inform Ground if they are unable to comply with it, and alternate route will be given.
If pushback in or taxi on the wrong direction, pilot shall advise Ground immediately and shall not make a 180 degree turn. Alternate route will be given.
If dual Ground is opened.
Apron A, D, Cargo Apron (501~525) shall contact RCTP_N_GND on 121.7 MHz.
Apron B, C and Remote Apron (601~615) shall contact RCTP_S_GND on 121.6 MHz.
Airbus A380 is prohibited to use taxiway E, Q6, Q7.

SID postfix: A – 05R / B – 23L / C – 05L / D – 23R.
Initial altitude is 3000 FT for all aircrafts.
SIDs comprise the 3NM initial climb on runway heading are mandatory. No early turn should be made unless ATC instruction or in emergency.
North bound aircraft shall use RNAV departures during 1400-2300 UTC when runway 23R/23L is active.

Runway 05L/05R in use: Passing COPRA / DRAKE / GRACE at FL200.
Runway 23L/23R in use: Passing COPRA / DRAKE / GRACE at FL140.
TONGA 1 / TNN 1 RNAV ARR descend planning.
Passing BOCCA / MENON / ARLEN / ABSOL at FL290.
Landing runway will be issued by Approach.
At or below FL250 and at or above FL130: maintain 280KT IAS.
Below FL130 and at or above 10000FT: maximum 280KT IAS.

ATC instruction:"Cancel speed restriction below 10,000" does not cancel the Approach Speed Control.
